GET WHAT YOU WANT BY GETTING TO KNOW YOURSELF BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.
There is nothing embarrassing about wanting/needing someone to talk to. I go to therapy every week (and I’m a Licensed Social Worker from Columbia University, go figure). It’s my medicinal outlet. And quite frankly, I can outsmart myself into thinking what and how I’m feeling doesn’t matter. It feels good to be seen and heard.
What I have learned throughout my seven years in business and having worked with thousands of people is that most people don’t have a clue about what they want their life to look like. We’ve been conditioned to make decisions based on the unrealistic expectations of our family, friends, and society.
It’s no surprise then when I ask my clients “What do you want?” I get the infamous “I don’t know” response.
The term “I don’t know” is a cop out. It’s an excuse to not have to take 100% responsibility for your life. If “I don’t know” has become your default mantra, then it’s time to turn whatever painful events, experiences, and situations that have happened in your life into power. True power.
I’m here to tell you that you’re not a wimp or a coward. You just need to make sense out of all the stuff that has happened and curate all the wisdom from what you’ve gone through. You just have to be willing to get real comfortable with your pain.
It starts with taking a logical look at your life. This doesn’t mean you ignore or deny your emotions. When you take everything you have been through and make sense out of it, you get back your power. You’re no longer a victim to your past. You’re now a powerful creator of your present.
If you want to work on gaining confidence, understanding why you keep attracting the same situations over and over again, having clear priorities and boundaries that work for YOU and more importantly, getting solid on who YOU are as a person, then it’s time for you to turn your pain into your purpose.
When you have an intention and a clear purpose you can DO ANYTHING.
