It was a breath of fresh air. I began to realize that the freedom I felt/experienced on the coaching call was something I was created to enjoy and able to have in my life on a daily basis.

Perfectly imperfect.

We are all imperfectly perfect and THAT is what makes each of us beautiful.

I’ll go first.

I can be a control freak and a perfectionist. My husband and I fight. I go every 10 days to get my chin and upper lip waxed. And I scream obscenities as my wax girl is doing her job. I crave and eat fatty foods when I’m sad. I have a short temper. I have a huge ego and have to manage it every single day to not take me over. I was in therapy for close to 20 years and still call my therapist when shit hits the fan. I get annoyed with my mom when she tells me what to do. I don’t tolerate less than excellent work. I can be demanding with my team. I have to work extra hard so as to NOT be a workaholic and get completely exhausted. And the list goes on and on.

So there you go. Imperfection. It may not be appealing to you but guess what? It sure as hell is a lot more exhausting to put on a front like everything is perfect. There is no such thing as perfect. And anyone who claims to have a perfect life and strives to maintain that image will eventually have to take that mask off. Or will be left all alone on their manufactured island.

And besides, beauty lies in imperfection. So there you have it.

What’s one thing about you that is REAL??

“Vision without action is a daydream.  Action without vision is a nightmare.” —Japanese proverb

I absolutely love this proverb for its no-nonsense take on getting busy and getting real.  Most of us have plans to do something momentous — start a business, double our salary, write a book, run a marathon, or befriend someone in need.  And we plan to start as soon as… the new year or new month begins… or the kids are out of school… or we scrape together more free time… etc.  The truth is, there will always be something to wait for. Always excuses and always reasons to NOT move from your comfort zone. You just have to start.  NOW.

It’s your choice–make it count!!

One of the things I advocate (and insist on, really) is the use of a vision board.  A vision board is a necessary part of fearlessly taking action.  Simply, it is a poster with images of what you want to have, do and be in your life.  You are putting your goals, desires and intentions where you see them everyday; and by cutting out magazine pictures, putting photographs or other notes on a bulletin or white board, you are making these intentions REAL.  And by making these goals and intentions real, you make it easier to attract these things into your life.

“Fearlessly taking action”—?????   What I mean by this is allowing yourself and empowering yourself to push past that fear that is keeping you in a holding pattern.  Change can be scary.  Moving off of safe and the usual can be uncomfortable.  Looking in the mirror and acknowledging your shortcomings and challenges can be very uncomfortable!  As Coach, I will help you get from here to there. Without the use of prescription drugs, bribery or coercion!  The tools of my trade are these:

  • my ability to challenge, champion and hold you accountable!
  • support and guidance in a safe environment
  • facilitating a process that allows YOU to access  YOUR inner wisdom
  • providing a set of sturdy shoulders…and a swift kick when you need it!!

So, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  Don’t let fear or complacency hold you back from your ultimate you!
