Do you love helping others? I can almost guarantee that the answer is YES. In my years of experience and working people on a daily basis, there is one thing I am certain of: Helping another human being is the path to feeling good about ourselves. Since I was a young girl I always knew I wanted to help other people. Maybe it was from all the trips I took to India as a child and observing the millions of people living in poverty. Maybe it was my own path of darkness and eventually getting out of it that has compelled me to pay my blessings forward. In any case, helping people feels great and I’m blessed to be able to do what I do in the world. It wasn’t always that way. There was a time where I wasn’t helping myself. I was so busy focusing “out there” that I didn’t stop to take a look at how I was treating myself. As the saying goes from one of my faves, Mahatma Gandhi:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
