I love to hear the inspiring powerful presence you have.  Keep up the amazing work, women need you!

It was a breath of fresh air. I began to realize that the freedom I felt/experienced on the coaching call was something I was created to enjoy and able to have in my life on a daily basis.

Vasavi has a compassionate and caring style of coaching with the perfect level of toughness that allowed me to push myself toward my intended outcomes.

Let me ask you something: Do you ever feel like when you talk to certain people it’s like banging your head against a brick wall? Ouch that hurts. You wanna know the ONE part of myself that I have consistenly had to work on? My “Keepin’ It Real” approach. video_fb1

See, while I may be the Keepin’ It Real “Guru,” I’ve had to become very mindful and aware of how I say what I say. Because guess what? Sometimes, Keepin’ It Real…goes wrong. And that’s not cool nor what I’m committed to. This week’s Keepin’ It Real is a bit different than the rest. My creative director, Justin makes a cameo appearance in today’s episode. Our dialogue is pretty darn funny so I can’t wait to hear what you think.

Sometimes, Keepin’ It Real goes wrong. That’s when you know it’s time to change your approach. (click to tweet)

I love surprises so I hope you enjoy today’s video and I would love to hear once you finish watching: What’s one small shift you can make to change your approach with people?

Come on now, Justin and I kept it real (watch the video to hear our confession)..so don’t leave us hangin 🙂

Love,

Vasavi

Change.

What comes to your mind when you read that word?

For me, whenever I would hear the word change– I would cringe. I would cringe because I was so focused on what wasn’t working and what I wasn’t good at that I would spin in circles focusing my energy on unproductive activities.

Though what if, change wasn’t so hard? What if all you had to do was answer two simple questions, coupled with taking action?

Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me.

On this week’s Keepin’ It Real I break it down about the two questions you need to be asking yourself if you really want change in your life.

Once you watch the video, I’d love for YOU to keep it real about your answer to the two questions that I talk about in the video.

I can’t wait to hear your answers in the comments below.

Until next time,

Keep. It. Real.

Love,

Vasavi

It doesn’t matter where I am or who I’m speaking to, there’s one question I get asked constantly:

“How can I feel more comfortable being me?”

It takes a lot of courage to ask this, because it forces you to get REAL & raw with yourself.

Today’s KIR video is all about busting out from behind those masks we put on, so check it out & listen up:

Hey Vasavi! I love you you are so genuine and real. You aren’t called the Keepin’ It Real Guru for nothing, and I really look forward to your weekly videos. So thank you! Here’s my question. I know deep down that I am waiting to be unleashed. I feel like most of the time, I am wearing a mask. It’s scary for me to just be me. It’s been so long where I can just be myself that I’m starting to forget who that even is. How do I just be me?”

There’s one main reason why so many people are afraid to be themselves: societal conditioning.

We spend our entire lives learning there are rules we need to follow, lines we can’t cross, and things we shouldn’t say. We start to believe if we don’t obey these guidelines, we won’t be accepted, approved of, or loved. So we hide ourselves. We push ourselves to fit in and meet everyone else’s standards, because we’re so terrified of being shunned or shamed.

And worst of all, when we’re constantly an altered version of ourselves, we slowly but surely start to forget who we really are.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Watch the video now to get the steps you need to start living as the authentic, totally unadulterated YOU.

Warning: expect to break a few rules. That’s what liberation’s all about, baby!

How about you? Do you feel at ease being 100% yourself, all the time? Or are there moments you dodge behind masks too? Get real with me in the comments below, I always love to hear from you guys.

If we are not learning, growing, expanding and taking action, then we’re dying a slow death.

Thank you 2012 for kicking my ass and teaching me these beautiful lessons.

1. Outward success doesn’t mean anything if the home front is falling apart.
Ok, I admit it. I work. A lot. I work to the point where I forget to pick up the phone and call friends and family. I wo
rk to the point where I neglect my physical well-being. Everything becomes secondary. Everything. The day that I decided to put me first was the day that the doors opened up to true success. Suddenly I was no longer living my life around my business. Instead, My business was an extension of who I was and I was living my life around it. It takes commitment, dedication, massive accountability, and trust. I’m still working on it but now more than ever, as my company starts to grow and new opportunities are created, I am focused on what matters the most- my health, my marriage, my friendships, and my family.
