I have something that I’ve been dying to get off my chest. So here goes: Whether you believe me or not, you were gifted this life to make a difference in the lives of others. Now, maybe you already know this. But in my line of work, I am always asked this one question: What is my purpose?
What if I told you that your purpose is as simple as: Discovering, learning about, creating, and being YOU. Like really? What if all you had to do was to show up each and every day as your most frickin’ fabulous self? And listen, I get it. Some days aren’t so hot. I’m not talking about being perfect. I’m talkng about being YOU.
And you my friend, were not put here on this Earth to be perfect.
Perfect is boring anyways and leads to high blood pressure and stress..not fun. I can’t imagine me NOT doing what I am doing in the world. Talking to people, listening about their dreams, their goals, and supporting them in getting exactly what they want. Essentially, a life designed by YOU, for YOU, so that you can be of service to OTHERS.
If figuring out what you want has been a struggle for you, I recommend two things:
— Check out my course, The Art of Taking Confident Action
— Schedule a 20-minute chat with where we can talk about ways that we can work together so you can stop trying to “figure things out” and start living on purpose.
There was a point in my life where i lived in a Vasavi bubble. When I got out of my little bubble, and started to focus my energy on “What can I do for you?”- that’s when my life totally shifted. But in order for me to walk down that path, i had to get crystal, like CRYSTAL clear on what i truly desired in my life FIRST. I’m not talking about the things that i wanted, I’m talking how i wanted to feel.
On today’s Keepin’ It Real, you’re going to learn that finding your purpose isn’t hard at all. After you watch this week’s vid, I would love to hear from you:
What does it mean to “live on purpose” for you?
Can’t wait to hear from you in the comments below.
Let me ask you something: Do you ever feel like when you talk to certain people it’s like banging your head against a brick wall? Ouch that hurts. You wanna know the ONE part of myself that I have consistenly had to work on? My “Keepin’ It Real” approach.
See, while I may be the Keepin’ It Real “Guru,” I’ve had to become very mindful and aware of how I say what I say. Because guess what? Sometimes, Keepin’ It Real…goes wrong. And that’s not cool nor what I’m committed to. This week’s Keepin’ It Real is a bit different than the rest. My creative director, Justin makes a cameo appearance in today’s episode. Our dialogue is pretty darn funny so I can’t wait to hear what you think.
I love surprises so I hope you enjoy today’s video and I would love to hear once you finish watching: What’s one small shift you can make to change your approach with people?
Come on now, Justin and I kept it real (watch the video to hear our confession)..so don’t leave us hangin 🙂
P.S. If you have been struggling with getting clear on WHAT you WANT, check out my program, The Art of Confident Action. You can check it out and enroll here.
Have you ever heard that song The Motto by Drake? This is where he coined one of the most used terms by our youth in today’s society. YOLO. You only live once.
Some people just use this an excuse to party everyday, go out drinking, use drugs, and spend all their hard earned money and basically have nothing to show for it.
What if we can look at YOLO and extract a deeper meaning? I know this sounds crazy because let’s be real it’s a song by Drake, but I think he could really be onto something here.
What if YOLO meant instead of the party life, living up to your fullest potential. Not caring what others think about you. No, like actually not caring about what others think. Or as Drake would say “fuck what anybody say.” I am aware this is not correct grammar for all you English professors, but he has a point.
Hey!! Hope you’re doing well and had a great weekend!
I love this time of year. First, I’m a May baby and that’s literally around the corner (I’ll be turning 34!!), second, it’s tulip season and tulips are my favorite so basically, I’m in full spring swing.
