Today we’re talking about something every person on the planet has done! That’s right we’re diving into why we judge others and the bigger impact it has on our life.
Tune into my latest Keepin’ It Real video below for my insights on this highly debatable topic and then be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below.

What do you think the judgments that you have about others say about how you’re judging yourself?
Let me know!

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be a human in this world. I wrote this out while sitting in my therapist’s waiting room (not surprising). What you’re about to read is a free flow of my thoughts, unedited. I drop the occasional f-bomb. If that offends you, keep reading. You may just need to read this to spark something inside of you….
Life is a movie. People think that they have some sort of magic control over it. Others think the exact opposite and blame life, saying that its out to get them. The sooner you realize that life is just happening, the sooner you will understand what is happening to you and why it is happening.
People always wonder what the “secret” to life is.
This past week I did something that was very out of my comfort zone.
I bought a two piece bathing suit.
This is a huge deal for me. Media has done a great job in portraying what an “ideal” body looks like. And if I were comparing my body to what media says– HELL NO would I be buying myself a two piece bathing suite.
But as I’ve consistently said to you over the years in all my emails- the first step to feeling confident and going after the thing you are most afraid of–
Take the FIRST STEP.
Here’s a picture of the bathing suits that I bought.
Do I have the “perfect” body.
But it’s perfect to me.
The bathing suit has much less to do with the actual apparel and much more to do with me not wanting to tan like an Oreo cookie (brown on the top and bottom and white on my stomach).
It’s beautiful here in Kansas City and I’m so happy that the sun is finally out!!!
Hope you had a great weekend filled with rest, relaxation, and fun. If not, be sure to do one (if not more) kind thing for yourself today.
I was recently interviewed by the Wall Street Journal on a topic that I was hesitant to talk about. But, as you know by now, I cherish personal freedom more than anything in this world, so I said YES because my hope was that if one person could be positively impacted by me sharing my truth, then my purpose in life would have been fulfilled. And with any mainstream media publication, there are a ton of people commenting. I got thrown off when I read all those comments. Essentially, I fell off my positivity wagon.
With a little help from my toolbox of positive thinking, my family, and friends, I was able to get back on track.
Many of my clients are super motivated and passionate about living their best life. They are committed, driven and focused. And sometimes, they fall off track. I have to remind them that it’s normal.
This week’s Keepin’ It Real addresses this very topic.

As always, I want to hear from you. Have you ever been on a positive path and then gotten thrown off? How did you bounce back? I’d love to hear your story.
