I don’t know about you, but mornings are rough for me.
My creative bipolar mind wakes up with about a million to-dos and then I get overwhelmed.
Having been raised in a Hindu household I have been blessed to be exposed to all things meditation, mantras, and mindfulness.
But being the rebel that I am, I always wanted to find a way.
You see, I’m the kind of person who can be told how to do things, but I HAVE to do it MY WAY.
That’s the only way any sort of practice or routine sticks for me.
I wanted to share my own personal routine that I have created.
It’s simple and it’s been working. I feel better and start my day clear minded.
The picture below consists of three key “items” that I have placed next to my yellow chair that i sit in when I wake up in the morning.
Do you know you have a message that could give hope to others?
Are you a service based entrepreneur looking to share your story and increase your impact on this planet?
Have you been so busy serving others that you haven’t taken the time out to work ON your business?
If so, the Spring Equinox workshop is for you.
Most of us become entrepreneurs because we believe that anything is possible.
We have dreams, desires, and hopes to do, be, and have anything in our lives.
But then life happens. And we get so caught up in the day to day that we forget that without a proper plan and strategy, our businesses do not get the attention that it deserves.
Yesterday I went to the Texas Conference for Women here in Austin, TX. My role was to serve as a coach in the “Coaches Corner” for the 7000 attendees traveling from all over to come to the conference. Of course, I didn’t speak to 7000 women but I had the opportunity to coach many of the women who needed help with their “next steps.” Some were 9-5ers looking to make some additional income. Some were in transition between their job and their side hustle, and some just needed a boost of confidence that they were on the right track.
I also got to hear many of the speakers, including the elegant and world-famous fashion designer, Diane Von Furstenberg.
She said something that I wanted to share with you today:
“You never know how something that seems like the worst thing turns out to be the best.”
Whatever you may be going through right now, no matter how “bad” it seems, will turn out to the be the best. How do I know this with such certainty? Because when I reflect on anything and everything that I have gone through in my life, I can now see that it all worked out in my favor.
It’s all about perspective.
And if your perspective is skewed and filled with negativity, then of course your life is going to feel like it’s happening TO YOU, versus FOR YOU.
That’s me and the lovely DVF below 🙂
Do you tolerate people’s rudeness because you want to be seen as “nice” rather than rude or bitchy? Do you find yourself agreeing to things that you don’t really want to do? Do you have a hard time standing up for yourself?
As children we were trained to be “nice” and polite.”
Let me just say this right here: Being “nice” isn’t an indicator of your success as a human.
Being able to honor yourself and your boundaries is what will take you farther in life.
Welcome to step one of creating stronger boundaries.
