For whatever reason (and there are so many), this time of year can bring up feelings of isolation, loneliness, and plain old BLAH.

On the flip side, there are a ton of wonderful things about this time of year. I mean, there’s even a Christmas song that says it is (it’s the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrr)

Anyway, as long as you get some downtime, see your family and/or friends, why not get yourself ready mentally and emotionally to manage the ups and downs of the holidays, entering a new year, and leaving behind old baggage.

I’m asked all the time what some of my favorite ways are to destress and practice self-care. Now, it’s not always easy to make the time, because the fact is, life happens. But, there are definitely things that you can do to alleviate your burdens, and just FEEL GOOD.

I’m all about feeling good. Lord knows I have plenty of downs that come with my ups, but you know, the more I take care of myself mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and intellectually, the happier I am.

It’s that simple.

Below you will find a list of all my favorite things. It’s not so much about the thing itself (I only use the best), it’s more about the act of taking the time out to do whatever you need to do to feel good–during the holidays and every day.

No need to wait for a meltdown (although sometimes that’s all it takes) to start practicing self-care.
