This is more of a personal share for me and if you are someone who is in the service-based industry and has been professionally trained, licensed, or certified as a social worker, therapist, or counselor, it would mean a lot to me if you kept reading. If you’re not any of the above, keep reading. You may find a golden nugget that you can take away and apply to something going on in your life right now.
When my family and friends learned that I had entered the School of Social Work at Columbia University in NYC for my MSW, they all gave me a similar reaction: Wow! (for my desire to work with the underserved and marginalized segments of our society) and Congratulations! (for getting into Columbia).
Having been diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder at age 20, I was well accustomed to the sting of other people’s judgments, one of the reasons my heart identifies so strongly with disenfranchised groups of people. As a LMSW myself, I am well aware that social workers and counselors are waaaayyyy underpaid in relation to the vital services they provide to help people cope, recover, and rebuild their lives. Believe me, I know the importance of what you do, and I’m guessing that you would probably like to make more money.
So I developed a special program specifically for LMSWs, LCSWs, and other licensed public service professionals to jumpstart your online business.
I’m calling it: VIRTUAL JUMPSTART WEEKEND
Here’s how it works:
I will meet you online over the course of one weekend to cover the foundation you need to jumpstart your online business so you can deliver your services to more people in more locations.
We will meet Friday (June 24th), Saturday (June 25th), and Sunday, 11am-2pm CST each day.
In order to participate, you must…
-Be certified or have 1-2 years of experience in your profession
-Have worked with paying clients in your industry
-Have some background knowledge of online marketing
-Have an email list, or be willing to get the software to start growing an email list (such as Mailchimp)
-Have access to phone and laptop with working camera so we can meet via Google Hangout
-Have a secure internet connection
-Be available for all three days of the Virtual Jumpstart Weekend
-Be willing to create a website, if you don’t already have one
Fri: 11-2pm CST – we will cover your business idea, your messaging, and your target market
Sat: 11-2pm CST – we will develop your offers, your programs and pricing, and your sales funnel
Sun: 11-2pm CST – we will outline your promotional and marketing strategy and have plenty of time to “Ask Vasavi Anything”
Investment: $600 for the weekend. Payment must be made in full in order to secure your spot. Once I receive your payment, you will receive a questionnaire to complete prior to our weekend together. This program is limited to five participants.
