Screw your resolutions

By now you may already know about the major changes happening in my life and over at

This is no accident.

It was almost one year ago that I got my hands on Danielle Laporte’s The Desire Map book.

See, what was missing in my life was something that I have found through my work with clients and in my own life:

Paying attention to and creating goals rooted in how we want to feel.desire_worthy

Up until last year I was what I call: a bonafide hustler.

Going going going..crash. Repeat.

Almost everything that I did was fueled by my need to push harder, drive harder, and work harder.

Sound familiar?

Oh, and feeling good?

No time for that.

How could I pay attention to my feelings when I was constantly hustling?

I couldn’t, wouldn’t and didn’t dare to even pay attention to my feelings.

It took a huge toll on my marriage, my physical and emotional well being, and most importantly my spirit.

You could say, I was emotionally numb.

This past year, I have committed to focusing on how I want to feel, and basing my actions around that.

And as a result:

-scaled back on 1-on-1 coaching
-automated my business so I can have more fun and freedom to do what I want, when I want
-more pleasure in my marriage
-more girlfriend play time
-getting back on bipolar meds (trust and believe, this is avery good thing)
-pursuing my childhood dream to become a vegetarian chef
-moving to AUSTIN to be a student at The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts
-better relationships with my family
-and an even better relationship with myself (and this is still a work in progress, of course)

What I love about The Desire Map is that it is a step by step guide to help you come to what she refers to as: Core Desired Feelings.

Now, your core desired feelings, are what you truly desire, and how you want to feel.

For 2014 I have drilled down my top 4 core desired feelings that I want to experience. Here they are:


So, now knowing what my CDF’s are. All my actions will align. That means anytime I am faced with an opportunity, or a challenge, or an invitation, I ask myself, “ Is this aligned with how I want to feel?”

It’s THAT simple. But first you get clear on your core desired feelings.

I do not get any sort of commission from promoting The Desire Map. I’m simply a human being who wants to make the most of their life. And more importantly, feel great in the process.

And pay it forward to any of you who may be feeling like you are simply dragging in life.

You deserve to live a life that is designed by you. On your terms.

From me to you, my prayer for you is that you do what feels good. No regrets, no need to explain or justify.

You are worthy of your desires.


P.S. You can get The Desire Map here. I also went through the Desire Map with my husband last year. Needless to say, I now have a man who used to live a life of “shoulds” and “obligation.” And now, a man who does what feels good to him. How amazing is that?
