Tell me the truth: when was the last time you told yourself “I’m not good enough.”?
Last week? Yesterday? Five minutes ago?!
Enough already, people. You know all that anxiety is keeping you trapped – and you’re never gonna reach your goals if you don’t get moving.

Lara asks: “I know I have a gift. I’m a coach and a speaker, and I’ve been told by the best of the best in my field that I was born to speak… yet I can’t seem to shake my self-doubt. How do I increase my confidence?”
I know putting yourself out there is nerve wracking, but you can’t let your doubts hold you back.
I’ve got three go-to methods for getting those “I suck!” thought cycles out of your head (where they belong!):
1. Fake it till you make it.
Don’t get me wrong – when you’re spreading your message, you should never be anything but 100% authentic. I’m talking about your thoughts here.
We all have that inner voice that psyches us out, telling us we aren’t good enough, or that we don’t have what it takes. You have to learn to send those thoughts back to your mind in a positive way.
For example, if your inner critic is telling you “You’re a terrible speaker. Get off the stage!”, try replying with this:
“You’re wrong – I’m an amazing speaker. My peers have told me so. I have a lot to learn, but I know this is my calling.”
You have to consciously work on feeding yourself positive thoughts and affirmations. This is builds up your strength and awareness. Soon enough, you’ll discover you’re finally confident in your ability to “make it”. And after that… the world’s your oyster.
