Who are you? What’s so special about you? Well, let me tell you right now. I’m not asking about your job, how much money you make, your accomplishments and achievements. I’m not even asking about your religion, your age, your favorite restaurant or your political association.

What keeps you up at night? What makes your heart sing? What makes your stomach flutter with excitement? What makes you jump out of bed in the morning? I want to know what makes you feel the most alive. Because if we can find out what makes you feel the most alive, we can stop surviving.

What are you waiting for? Well, if you tell me you’re waiting for the right time. the right age, the right amount of money, you haven’t told me anything but a bunch of reasons. Share with me about the dreams that you had as a kid when anything and everything seemed possible.

Oh and another thing. If you’re still waiting for the right time to act on your dreams, you’re selling yourself short. Let me say it another way. You’re lying to yourself. I don’t want to know the reasons why you can’t have the life that you love. I mean here is the thing. Reasons have kept you safe and comfortable up until this point. But if you want to live a life of ALIVENESS you gotta let go of those reasons.

The fact of the matter is, we all have what it takes to life an extraordinary life.

I’m Vasavi Kumar. Call me at 913.951.1764. Let’s get started on having you live your extraordinary life.

    Nice little reminder. 🙂

Growing up on a farm in East Central KS, I dreamed of becoming a zookeeper. I fulfilled that dream by the age of twenty two. It felt good, knowing I was “set” for life. Then one day, a few years later, I woke up and realized I was dissatisfied with life. I believe that was a major shift in my soul; resigning to a life of unmet desires and dissatisfaction.

So I kept moving, constantly searching for the BBD (bigger better deal). Relationships, jobs, locations, etc. I call that era my $5 life; as I was too busy running around, changing the world, to put more than $5-10 worth of gas in my car. Mostly running around doing selfish things to avoid having to sit with me. Of course $5 would actually get you a little farther those days.

“All men’s miseries derive from not being able to sit in a quiet room alone.”
    – Blaise Pascal

I love that quote by your coach. Awesome stuff.

In March of 2006 I hit a bottom, emotionally, spiritually, & physically. I was done, spent, and was faced with a pretty simple question; do I choose life or death? I know it sounds dramatic, but as Tony Robin’s recently said about his childhood in his interview with Oprah, “It’s just facts.” It’s our story, and it’s all that we have.

After that point, I decided to live and everything from that point on was gravy. I dedicated my life to doing whatever it took to find happiness, inner-peace. I found emotional connectedness with self.

There was a quote early in my journey that really resonated with me (sort of along the lines of what your coach says).

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
    – Mahatma Gandhi

There’s a lot more to it, but basically I was confusing what I showed the world on the outside, with who I was on the inside.

There used to be this allergy commercial with this guy walking through the woods. Two versions of himself, both sort of transparent along different paths. After taking the allergy medicine, he came together as one clear image/version of himself on a well defined path. That’s what’s happened to me.

It’s not so much who I “think” I am today, but who I know, accept, and believe I am. In the most simplest form, love.

And in regards to the image for this post, I like that. Underneath it all today, as a result of the work I’ve done, is the underlying or foundational knowing that everything is fundamentally okay. It all stems from becoming emotionally connected with self, accepting self and knowing that it’s enough.

wow, sorry for the long comment. I get pretty amped up about this stuff. LOL

I live in LS and heard about your radio show on 710 during my morning commute into OP. Looking forward to listening. Blessings.
